The first D&T talk was done by the head of PDE, Craig Whittet. This talk focused on the simple question, "how much are we willing to pay?".

The purpose of this talk from John Thorne was to educate ourselves about the importance of being more environmentally aware. This was centered around the context of "off-grid" living which ties with our current project well.

This talk focused on the topic of how we as a society could live more off-grid in an on-grid world. The talk asked us to question the values that consumers would require for living off-grid, as well as many other interesting points.

A change of pace here as I was lucky enough to get a talk from world renowned transport designer Frank Stephenson. I thoughouly enjoyed listening to him talk about his past designs and plans for the future.

This was the first movie watch as part of the Design and Technology series. It presented the life of Charles and Ray Eames and the designs they created that inspired post-war moderism in design.

Who wants another Ben Craven talk..? Well you are going to get one! This talk was completely different to the previous one as it focused on how designers can use psychology to aim user experience.

This was not a talk or a documentary but actually a certain movie called 2001: A Space Odyssey. I had never watched it before so get ready for my opinions on it!
